Beautiful art deco tan celluloid glove stretcher with spring mechanism.
Glove stretchers were made to open up the fingers of close fitting gloves. Common in the 19th and early 20th Century. Most glove stretchers were made of bone or wood, celluloid ones were a lot less common.
